Contacts Settings

The Contacts Settings section lets you control how contacts are created, displayed, and managed in FuseSign.

Hide Manual Contacts

With this setting enabled, Manual Contacts (contacts created directly in FuseSign) will be hidden from users. This means that:

  • Manual contacts will not appear in search results when adding Recipients to a bundle

  • Manual contacts will not appear when searching the FuseSign Contacts Database

  • The ‘Manual’ tab on the Contacts page will be hidden

This can be useful in situations where Contacts have been imported from an external sources (such as a contact data sync) and legacy Manual Contacts are no longer needed or desirable.

Enabling Hide Manual Contacts will also enable Prevent Manual Contact Creation

Disconnecting a Data Sync integration (e.g. XPM, APS, etc.) will automatically convert those DataSync Contacts records into Manual Contacts, which will be affected by the above setting.

If the Data Sync integration is reconnected in the future, the records will automatically reconnect and become DataSync Contacts again, provided they are coming from the same source.

Prevent Manual Contact Creation

Enabling this setting will prevent Contacts from being created manually in FuseSign. With this enabled, all new Contacts must come from a Contact Sync or External source.

Hide External Contacts

When enabled, all External Contacts (contacts created from an external non–Data Sync source such as BGL or FYI) will be hidden from users. This means that:

  • External contacts will not appear in search results when adding Recipients to a bundle

  • External contacts will not appear when searching the FuseSign Contacts Database

  • The ‘External’ tab on the Contacts page will be hidden

Because External contact creation cannot be avoided when sending external bundles through FuseSign, it can be helpful to enable this setting to prevent confusion from “duplicate” contact records.

Hide DataSync Contacts

With this setting enabled, DataSync Contacts (contacts created from a Contact Data Sync integration such as XPM or MYOB) will be hidden from users. This means that:

  • DataSync contacts will not appear in the when adding a Recipient to a bundle

  • DataSync contacts will not appear when searching the FuseSign Contacts Database

  • The ‘DataSync’ tab on the Contacts page will be hidden
